Twenty Italian Destinations for Coach Groups
Each page explains how a coach gets into that town, where the group gets off, where the coach waits and how far the nearest airport is. Pick the place where your trip begins or spends the night.
Why every town needs its own page
Old town centres in Italy were not built for coaches, and each has found its own answer. In Siena the coach waits only at Il Fagiolone. In Assisi and Lucca coaches stay outside the walls and the group walks in. In Taormina the coach parks at Lumbi and a shuttle bus climbs to the centre. In Matera the coach sets down on Viale delle Nazioni Unite, then leaves to park.
Several pages cover a wider area. Naples covers Pompeii and Vesuvius, Sorrento the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Capri, and La Spezia the Cinque Terre. Siena covers Chianti and San Gimignano, Verona Lake Garda, Como Bellagio, Taormina Etna and Matera Alberobello.
Questions organisers ask
Our town is not on the list. Can we still book?
Yes. Send the pickup address. A trip can start anywhere in Italy.
Does a tour of several cities need several bookings?
No. One quote covers the whole itinerary, with the permits for each city on the route.
Can a coach drive to the Cinque Terre villages?
No. The coach goes to La Spezia or Levanto, and the group continues by train or boat. The La Spezia page explains how.
