Who Arranges Your Coach in Italy
We are a booking service. We do not own coaches or employ drivers. Licensed partner operators do both, and we stand between your plan and their quote.
Two roles, kept apart
Our part is the paperwork before the trip. We read your plan, ask the questions that change the price or the vehicle, pass it to a partner operator and send you the quote. When you accept, we confirm the booking and keep the details together.
The operator's part is the road. It supplies the coach, employs the driver, handles the city permits for that vehicle and runs the day. On the day itself the driver and the operator are the people who decide what is safe and legal.
What a partner operator must hold
A company hiring out buses with a driver works under Law 218/2003, with an authorisation from its region and a certified copy on board each coach. Its drivers hold a category D licence, or D1 for the smaller minibuses, and the CQC card that the law always requires for carrying school pupils.
Coaches carry a tachograph, and the driver keeps to the EU driving and rest limits. A car with driver is an NCC service under Law 21/1992: it is booked in advance at the operator's garage or office, apps included, and cannot be hailed in the street.
Who books through us
Teachers planning a school trip of several days. Parish groups heading for Assisi. Choirs, bands and sports clubs with a fixture away. Company outings, family reunions and tour leaders bringing a group from abroad who need a coach to meet the flight.
What we do not do
We publish no prices, because each trip is costed on its own. We do not promise a coach bay that a city or airport has not assigned: coach areas in Rome close for works and events, and airport rules change by ordinance several times a year. We do not sell guided tours or entry tickets.
Where the planning notes come from
The city, airport and port pages draw on official sources: Normattiva for the laws, the city mobility companies such as Roma Servizi per la Mobilità, AVM in Venice and AMT3 in Verona, ENAC ordinances for the airports, and the port authorities. Rules shift, so the operator checks them again before travel.
Questions organisers ask
Who is responsible on the day?
The partner operator, which holds the authorisation and employs the driver. We stay your contact for changes to the booking.
Can we choose the operator?
You choose the quote. It names the vehicle and what is included, so you can compare before you accept.
Do you work outside Italy?
This site covers trips in Italy. A tour that crosses into Switzerland, for example to Lugano, can be quoted as one trip.
Tell us about the trip
A headcount, a date and a list of places are enough. Once an operator has costed it, you decide whether to go ahead.
