Coach Hire for the Arena di Verona Festival
Verona's Arena hosts the 104th opera festival between 11 June and 11 September 2027. Performances are in the evening, in the open-air Roman amphitheatre on Piazza Bra. For a coach, the evening timing shapes the whole booking: the pass, the parking and the return.
The pass and where coaches stand
To drive in Verona's coach ZTL, a coach shows a PASS ZTL Bus on its dashboard; it expires at midnight on the day of entry. Only two places inside the zone take parked coaches. The Parcheggio Centro coach terminal, on Via Campo Marzo, never closes, while Stadio C in Via Sogare shuts at 22:00 (it opens at 08:00). A coach waiting out an evening show belongs at Campo Marzo.
Since 1 October 2026 the Parcheggio Centro has seen more frequent checks of coach and NCC passes. The operator buys the pass and keeps it on show.

Setting down by the Arena
Groups get on and off only at designated stops, such as Lungadige Matteotti, Via Pontida, Via Interrato dell'Acqua Morta or the Terminal Bus itself. A stop may last between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on where, so the group should be at the kerb, not still at dinner.
For wheelchair users and others with reduced mobility, step-free access to the stalls uses gates 1, 4 and 8, reached by a metal ramp from Piazza Bra. The stalls also have two accessible toilets. If an accessible vehicle is needed, say so early.

Groups staying on Lake Garda
Many groups sleep by the lake. Bardolino is about 45 min from Verona by coach and Sirmione about 50 min. The festival's public Opera Bus takes spectators back to the Garda towns 30 minutes after the show, booking required; a hired coach leaves when your group is ready.
A morning excursion and a late return on the same day can run into the drivers' hours rules, which cap daily driving and require a daily rest. Tell the operator the whole day's plan, not just the evening.
Questions organisers ask
Which airport suits the festival?
Villafranca, Verona's own airport, is a 35-minute coach ride from Piazza Bra, about 18 km. Venice Marco Polo is roughly 127 km away (1 h 50 min or so), Milan Bergamo roughly 118 km (around 1 h 40 min).
Does the pass cover a late return?
The pass stops being valid at midnight on the day of entry. Shows end late, so ask the operator how the pickup and the pass fit together for your date.
Can the coach wait by the Arena during the show?
No. It sets down at a designated stop, then parks in one of the two coach areas until pickup.
